The Westside pre-k is actually Warrior First Step. It is funded by the 21st Century Community Learning Centers. We are open from 6:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. as a service to our community. That way parents who have to be at work at 7:00 a.m. can drop off their child at 6:30 a.m. and the parent who has to work until 5:30 p.m. will have time to pick their child up at 6:00 p.m. and not have to put them in two different places. Our academic day is 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. We have breakfast at 8:15 a.m., lunch at 11:00 a.m., and snack at 2:30 p.m. We have recess at 9:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. We have lots of fun but learn lots too.
