This year, Ms. Black’s World History classes explored Armistice Day and Veterans Day, discovering how countries across the globe honor those who have served. A big thank you to Mrs. Parks for helping bring the Veterans Day Slide Project to life!
Students also created a touching Wall of Remembrance in the WHS Library. What a beautiful tribute to those who have dedicated their lives to service!

A group of our Warrior AFJROTC cadets joined the Arkansas State Band for their halftime show on Saturday!

🎭 WHS Theater Presents: CLUE – High School Edition! 🔎

It’s time for mystery, laughter, and a little bit of mayhem! Join us for this year’s WHS Theater Fall Production of CLUE: High School Edition at the Westside Fine Arts Center.

Westside Sr High Quiz Bowl competed in their first tournament of the 2025-26 season on Saturday. Going 5-0 against Bay, Tuckerman, Palestine-Wheatley, East Poinsett County, and Valley View, the team captured First Place in the Blue Division at the Marion Patriot Invitational. Team members were Jaxston Carter, Avah Davis, Drew Davis, Caroline Etter, Caden Frank, Jace Jones, and Molly Lindsey. Drew was also selected to the All-Tournament team for his high scoring average.

WHS Advanced Plant Science students have been studying soil texture and spent the day collecting soil samples from around campus to bring back to the classroom for testing. They made predictions based on each sample’s appearance, then used the “muddy puddle” test and the “squeeze” test to test their hypotheses.

Next week, they’ll complete the “ribbon” test once the samples have fully dried. It’s awesome to see our students getting their hands dirty while learning about the science of soil!

WHS Ag Spotlight – SAE: Supervised Agricultural Experience

Every WHS Ag student takes part in an SAE project, applying classroom learning to real-world experiences — whether it’s caring for animals, working a job, or creating their own business.

This year, Hannah Guerin launched her own cut-flower business as her SAE project! Over the summer, she researched, purchased supplies, and planted gardens both at home and at school. She’s been harvesting Tithonia and Zinnia flowers, sharing them with teachers and classmates, and gaining hands-on experience in ag entrepreneurship.

We’re proud of Hannah’s hard work and creativity — great things are blooming at WHS! 😉❤️🤍

Players helped open car doors and greeted students with big smiles to start the day, then joined the morning meeting to pump up our Lil Warriors and their families for tonight’s Red & White Game!

Join us for an evening full of fun — BBQ dinner, alumni game, Lil Dribblers performance, and Lil Cheer! Festivities kick off at 5:30 p.m. at WHS.
