Recap: Board of Education Regular Meeting

The Westside Consolidated School District Board of Education held a Regular Meeting on Monday, October 20, 2025, and the recap is now available.

Here's a brief summary of the meeting:

Annual Report to the Public

  • Superintendent Chris George presented the Annual Report to the Public, which included an overview of Board of Education information, staffing, enrollment, student demographics, taxpayer data, facilities, food service, and transportation for the 2024–25 school year.

    Principals from Westside Elementary, Westside Middle School, and Westside High School shared their campus reports, including state letter grades, recent test data, and academic and instructional goals for students and staff.

    Superintendent George concluded the report by outlining the district’s goals and areas of focus moving forward.

Recognition

  • Westside Elementary and Westside Middle School introduced new football programs. Participation exceeded expectations, with more than 90 students in grades 3–6 taking part in league play with neighboring schools.

    During the meeting, the board recognized these student-athletes for their effort, sportsmanship, and commitment throughout the season.
