Even during their summer break, our incredible WHS AFROTC cadets stepped up to serve! On Friday, August 8, 2025, they proudly presented the Color Guard at the Kiwanis International District Meeting, held at the Red Wolf Convention Center.
Cadet Tribble led the team as commander, with Cadet Forkum carrying the JROTC flag, and Cadets Lesley and Harbin on rifles. Cadet Bright gave a beautiful performance of the National Anthem.
We are so proud of their professionalism, teamwork, and dedication. Great job, cadets! ❤️🤍

Families: Please reference the attached map for parking and building entrance for tonight's and Thursday's open houses. Parking will be in the fine arts parking lot. Entrance will be through the gym or through the back side of the high school.
Attention Warrior Athletic Parents:
There will be a mandatory Athletic Parent Meeting on Tuesday, August 12th, at 5:30 pm in the Westside FAC.
This meeting is important for all parents of student-athletes in grades 7-12 as we prepare for the upcoming school year. Please make plans to attend—your support helps make our athletic programs successful!
WHS students may now access their 25-26 class schedule on their HAC account by using the same login credentials as last year. Paper copies of student schedules will be available at Open House. Please do not contact the school counselors about HAC login information or schedule changes at this time. Schedule change information will be given to students on the first day of school. Thank you!

New Elective for 8th Grade Students!
If your child would like to take a year-long PE class instead of the elective originally selected, please reach out to Ms. Etter at aetter@westsideschools.org by Friday, Aug. 1st. We are excited to provide additional opportunities for 8th graders!

Thanks to Arkansas State Bill 59, ALL students will receive FREE breakfast at school each day upon request — no application or eligibility required. We’re thrilled to ensure every Warrior starts the day ready to succeed!

New lunch prices for paid students: $3
Adult breakfast: $2.25, Lunch $4
