Warrior Upcoming Events for March 14th - 26th!

Congratulations to the Westside High School Concert Band students for their accomplishments at the Region 5 Concert Band Assessments held at Jonesboro High School on Thursday. The band received straight Superior ratings in prepared music and sightreading. The band also received straight Superior ratings at the Region 5 Marching Assessments this year which secures them a Sweepstakes trophy to top off the year.
The WHS Junior/Senior Prom will be held April 8 at The Silos. Juniors and Seniors planning to attend prom will need to purchase tickets from Mrs. Eggers. Tickets are $20 each through March 18. The price will go up to $25 each after Spring Break and the final deadline to purchase tickets is March 31. Students will need to turn in a date form if their date is not a WHS student. Seniors will also receive an invitation and two tickets for Grand March when they purchase their tickets. Additional Grand March Tickets can be purchased for $5 each.
WHS Sports Updates:
Boys Soccer vs CRA game for tonight has been canceled due to unavailability of officials and has been rescheduled to play at home for Thursday, March 17th at 5pm.
Baseball: The game scheduled for Saturday, March 12th has been canceled. A rescheduled date will come soon.
WHS Senior, Samara Brogan has been chosen 2nd place winner of the DAR regional Good Citizen contest. Samara was presented $50.00, a pin and certificate from the Jonesboro Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution.

The boys soccer team will play CRA at 4:00 p.m. at CRA.
The girls JV soccer game vs Marion has been canceled due Basketball State Finals.
Reminder: Westside Jr. and Sr. high cheer tryout MANDATORY parent meeting tonight at 6pm. Location: Elementary Cafeteria.

Congratulations to Samara Brogan and Nicholas Bratten for their auditions and placement in the 2022 State band conference. Samara made 3rd band 3rd chair Flute and Nicholas made 2nd Band 7th chair French horn. They competed against students from 1A through 7A schools. Congratulations!

The Softball vs Brookland @ Home game scheduled for today has been canceled and will be played on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at 4:30 p.m. at Westside. Double Header games.
The WHS Baseball game for today has been canceled and rescheduled to play tomorrow, Wednesday, March 9th AT Brookland at 4:00 p.m. Varsity Doubleheader will be played.
WHS/AFJROTC cadets packed another 18,000+ meals at the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas on Monday morning.
The WHS Softball game scheduled for today has been cancelled. The game has been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Nettleton. Game time is 4:30 with Varsity only playing.
The Jr High Track Meet at Pocahontas that was scheduled for today has been canceled.
WHS/AFJROTC hosted their inaugural Warrior Invitational Drill Meet on Saturday.
Our cadets decided to only enter JV Regulation Drill, so they could concentrate on putting on a great event for the other schools.
But…..they won the only category they entered.
The WHS Archery Team is headed to Hot Springs tomorrow to compete in the State Archery Competition, Saturday, March 5, 2022. Let's cheer our Warriors to victory! ❤🏹🎉🎉

WHS/AFJROTC cadets were invited to visit the State Capitol today as guest of State Representative Tosh, as he introduced a resolution to recognize the Westside AFJROTC program for all of their outstanding accomplishments and community service over the last 5 years.

Matilda, Jr., The Musical starts tomorrow! Performance dates are Thursday, March 3rd through Saturday, March 5th and show time is 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $5/adults and $3/students. All performances will be in the Westside Fine Arts Center. 😀🎭❤️
