The WHS Children’s Volunteer Club is leading its annual Socktober collection, gathering new and gently used socks for foster children during the month of October. Donations will be given to Together We Foster.

Westside Elementary, Middle, and High School are all joining together to support this meaningful cause. ❤️🤍💪

Collection boxes are available in the front offices of each school. Thank you for helping us spread kindness and warmth this season!

Westside Middle School Recognized for Outstanding Student Growth!
Congratulations to Westside Middle School for being recognized by the Office for Education Policy (OEP) at the University of Arkansas for High ELA Growth in the Northeast Region based on 2024 ATLAS assessment results.

This award highlights the dedication of our students, teachers, and staff to academic excellence and continuous improvement. We are proud of the positive impact Westside Middle School continues to make on student growth and learning.

The Boys' Basketball Parent Meeting will be this Wednesday October 8th starting at 5:30pm in the High School Gym. This is a mandatory meeting for parents of all boys' basketball players 7-12th grade . There will be many items discussed and Coach Geniesse looks forward to meeting you all!

Meeting for Parents of Homeschooled Students – Equitable Services Information

If you are the parent of a homeschooled child who meets the following criteria, this is for you. The Westside Consolidated School District, Office of Special Education, will hold a meeting with parents of students:

who live in the school district,
have a child who has/had an IEP in a public school setting,
and are currently homeschooling.

Your child may be eligible to receive equitable services through a service plan. Please join Dr. Kammerer on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. via Zoom. If you are interested in attending or have any questions, please contact the Special Education Department at 870-935-7501. For a Zoom link to the meeting, please e-mail Dr. Kammerer at ckammerer@westsideschools.org.

Trap tryouts will be held at the Westside Trap Field on October 25th at 9:00 am. This is for students in 6th and 7th grade. If you have a students who is interested, you can contact Danny Price at 870-243-9843.

Middle School Intramural Basketball forms are available in the middle school office. The cost is $30, and the forms are due by October 17th.

Westside Youth Football Game Time Change - 📣 Important Schedule Update for Tomorrow’s Games

In order to stay as cool as possible tomorrow, all games will begin one hour earlier than originally scheduled to ensure the safety and comfort of our players and families.

Here is the revised game schedule:

5th Grade Game – Starts at 9:00 AM ➤ Players should arrive by 8:15 AM
3rd/4th Grade Game – Starts at 10:00 AM ➤ Players should arrive by 9:15 AM
6th Grade Game – Starts at 11:00 AM ➤ Players should arrive by 10:15 AM

⚠️ Work Schedule Update: All previously published work times (volunteer shifts, concession stand, etc.) are also moved one hour earlier. Please adjust accordingly and help spread the word to others who may be affected.
