With the uptick in COVID-19 numbers in the state and county, both Westside High School and Westside Middle School will be postponing upcoming scheduled dances.
The homecoming dance for WHS that was scheduled for Saturday, January 8th is being postponed until a later date. We are currently looking at possible dates in mid- February. Once a decision is made, students will be notified.
The WMS dance that was scheduled for Friday, January 14th is being rescheduled for Friday, February 25th.
The health and safety of our students is always our number one priority. We look forward to providing these student social activities as soon as we can safely do so.
Westside is still in shock with the family & community engagement in Christmas the Warrior Way 2021! We are already making plans for 2022! BUT FIRST... we would love and appreciate your input. There will be no school for Westside Consolidated School District on December 20, 2021 through January 3, 2022. Students will return on January 4, 2022.
The middle school safe house will be available tonight if anyone needs shelter.
Warrior Events for December 13th - 31st!
A huge thank you to all who participated in Christmas the Warrior Way tonight. Thank you to all students, teachers, and staff who gave of your time to bring this event to our community. Happy holidays to everyone who drove through and we can’t wait to see you again next year! We will post pictures over the coming days!
The high school parking lot entrance is now blocked.
Christmas the Warrior Way will take place TONIGHT from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm. Please see the traffic map that is attached. Traffic will enter the campus at the north side of the high school off of Hwy 91. Traffic will be routed around the high school, to the middle school, and then exiting after the elementary school. All cars must enter the campus from Hwy 91 West coming from I-555 and Dan Avenue. There will be no left hand turns entering the high school entrance so we can keep traffic moving. There will be no entrance at the high school parking lot. The traffic flow has been flipped from last year so we can keep as many cars moving on the highway as possible.
Parents of Seniors,
Tomorrow, Dec. 7th, a representative from ASUN will be here to help students who are planning to attend ASU-Newport in the Fall 2022. They will help with applying, registration, applying to scholarships, etc.

We have had some of our Westside High School “elves” helping get goodies ready for Christmas the Warrior Way! Monday will be here before you know it.

Westside High School Air Force Junior ROTC visited several local cemeteries on Wednesday to place an American Flag on all graves marked as a Veteran.
Cadets provided “Thank you for your service gift bags” to each of our Westside Consolidated School District employees who are Veterans.
The bags include a Veteran Yeti purchased by the cadets and hats, shirts, cups, pens, phone charges, and other items provided by our local military recruiters.
The cadets will provide a Color Guard for a Veteran’s Day event at Riverside High School on Thursday and complete their Veterans Day activities by marching in the Annual Jonesboro Veterans Day Parade on Saturday morning.
