Happy School Counselor Week!
This week, we are proud to recognize and celebrate our amazing school counselors who go above and beyond every day to support Westside students and families.
Westside Elementary
Tammy Romines & Carol Little
Westside Middle School
Kelli Rider
Westside High School
Julie Tubbs & Amanda Etter
Our principals shared a few words of appreciation:
From Kelli Murray (WES):
“Mrs. Romines and Mrs. Little go above and beyond every day to support our students and families—not only through counseling classes, but through their constant care, advocacy, and problem-solving. Their compassion and dedication make a true difference. We are so lucky to have them!”
From Michael Allen (WMS):
“Her work goes beyond guidance classes. She works hard to meet the social, emotional, and mental health needs of our students. Kelli also operates our food and clothes pantry and makes sure students have hygiene products, school supplies, and everything they need. We couldn’t do it without her!”
From Katie Edlemon (WHS):
“Mrs. Tubbs and Mrs. Etter are the heartbeat of our campus. From schedules and college planning to listening ears and constant support, they go above and beyond every single day to help our students succeed—academically, socially, and emotionally. We are so grateful for all they do for our Warriors!”
Thank you to our counselors for the compassion, support, and dedication you provide every day. Westside is stronger because of you! ❤️🤍

We know families and staff are eager for an update regarding school on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.
With slightly warmer temperatures and sunshine today, district leaders will be out multiple times this afternoon evaluating road conditions across the district to determine whether we can safely open school.
If buses are able to run, snow routes will likely be used for any roads that are not safe for bus travel. Should snow routes be necessary, additional information will be shared identifying which bus routes are affected once a decision is made.
All updates will be communicated as soon as decisions are finalized. Thank you for your continued patience as we prioritize the safety of our students and staff.
