As many of you know, we are expecting a weather episode this afternoon around the time of dismissal. Please know that we are watching the weather closely and will take any steps necessary to ensure the safety of our students and staff. Those steps could include placing the students and staff in our on-campus storm shelters or holding dismissal a few minutes later than normal as we wait for the weather to pass us by, should the need arise. Please pay attention to Facebook posts, text messages, and the school website for further details as the afternoon progresses.
Mandatory Parent Meeting REMINDER:
Attention Westside Athletes entering grades 7-12 for the 2022-2023 school year. There will be a parent meeting on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 from 5:30-6:00 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center to discuss new AAA athletic physical regulations.
Westside Middle School students will be transitioning next week to upgraded chromebooks. Students will need to bring their chromebooks and chargers back to school beginning Monday. For any student who needs to pay for a charger, the cost is $10. The schedule will be as follows:
5th grade Yearta and Crawley -Monday
5th grade Parr, Wann, and Nix-Tuesday
6th grade Milller, Dubar, and Barber-Wednesday
6th grade Darr and Waller-Thursday
7th grade-Friday
Warrior Events for March 28th - April 2nd!
Westside Consolidated School District will be closed Monday, March 21, 2022 through Friday, March 25, 2022 for spring break. School will resume on Monday, March 28, 2022.
The Westside Consolidated School District will be releasing students 10 minutes early this afternoon in an effort to beat the oncoming weather. Again, all campuses will release 10 minutes earlier than normal.
In addition, we will be closing Warrior Aftercare this afternoon (Friday). These students will need to either ride their bus home or have someone come pick them up at dismissal. If needed, please contact your building principal to ensure your student has the correct travel instructions.

Reminder: Westside Jr. and Sr. high cheer tryout MANDATORY parent meeting tonight at 6pm. Location: Elementary Cafeteria.
The Jr High Track Meet at Pocahontas that was scheduled for today has been canceled.
Clarification: The attendance requirement for the dance is the student must have been present at school at least 1/2 day TODAY. It does not apply to all year attendance. We apologize for the confusion.
Announcements for WMS Dance:
Doors open at 6:00 pm at the WMS Gym
Cost $5.00. There is a concession stand available.
School dress code must be followed for all attire
Students who were absent more than 1/2 day of school are ineligible to attend the dance per student handbook (pg. 160)
Dance dismissal will occur beginning at 7:45 pm in the normal car line. Please line up in car line for dismissal. Do not park and come to the door.

The Middle School dance that was tomorrow night is now rescheduled for Friday, March 4, 2022 from 6-8 pm.
Due to impending winter weather, Westside Consolidated will dismiss school today (Wednesday 2/23/22) starting at 1:15 at the Elementary. Middle School will be released at 1:20 and High School at 1:25. Please be safe on your commutes home and watch for communication about tomorrow on the normal channels (Facebook, Website, Text, KAIT8).
