The last student day for the 2022-2023 school year at Westside Schools will be Friday, May 26, 2023. Be on the look out this summer for upcoming dates regarding open house, etc.

Parents & Guardians, if your student takes medicine in the nurse's office, please come and pick up any remaining doses by noon on Thursday, May 25th. This includes inhalers, epipens and any other rescue medications that have been brought to school. Any medication not pickup up will be disposed of at JPD on May 26th.
Once again, Westside will be offering its FREE meal program to all students 18 years old and younger. Both breakfast and lunch will be provided starting June 5, 2023 and running through July 28, 2023 (excluding July 4, 2023). This will take place each day at Westside Elementary. When school's out, free summer meals are in! Westside Consolidated Schools will again be serving Free Summer Meals for Kids. Open to all kids and teens ages 18 and under. (no enrollment required)
Meals will be served in the elementary cafeteria starting June 5th through July 28th. (No meals will be served on July 4, 2023)

Here at Westside, we have big school opportunities with your small school environment. School Choice is an option for anyone who lives outside of Westside Consolidated School District and would like their child to attend Westside Schools for the 2023-2024 school year.

There will be NO SCHOOL for students on Friday, April 14, 2023 due to Teacher Professional Development Make-Up. School will resume on Monday, April 17, 2023.
Warrior Nation! After consulting with Craighead Electric, it has been determined that the middle school and elementary will be without power for the remainder of the afternoon. Therefore, Westside will be dismissing classes at 1:30 this afternoon, Wednesday, 4//5. All students are safe and doing well. If you plan on checking out your student, please do so through the car line.

Westside Elementary and Middle School are currently without power. We are on the phone with Craighead Electric to find out when they can get have it working again. All students are being fed and are safe. More information will come as it is available.
We are also monitoring the weather. Due to the possible weather and the lack of power at those two campuses, an early dismissal is a possibility. Again, more information will be made available as those decisions are made based on the information we receive.

This is just a reminder that the middle school shelter will be available for any community members who you may need it tonight during the storms.
Due to impending inclement weather, the Westside Consolidated School District will be releasing students today, Friday (3/31) at 1:00 pm. Please make sure arrangements are made for your students as they head home early. If you need to make alternate arrangements, please reach out to your students' building principal. This early release is a necessary step to ensure the safety and security of all students and staff. Also remember, the middle school safe room will be open to the community after student release, should it become necessary. Please be safe this afternoon and take all necessary precautions.

As many of you know, we are forecasted to receive some inclement weather tomorrow afternoon around dismissal time that could include high winds and possibly hail. Our number one priority is the safety and security of our students and staff. If needed, we will utilize the safe rooms located at each campus to house our students and staff. The play “Dearly Departed” will be performed @ 7:00pm, April 8th, 2023 as the 1st alumni show ever done at Westside High School. Join us along with other pre and post grads of Westside as we sort through this crazy show! Tickets are $3.00 for students and $5.00 for adults and will be sold at the door the evening of the show at the WHS Fine Arts Center.
The story takes place in the Baptist backwoods of the Bible Belt, the beleaguered Turpin family proves that living and dying in the South are seldom tidy and always hilarious. Despite their earnest efforts to pull themselves together for their father’s funeral, the Turpins’ other problems keep overshadowing the solemn occasion. Amidst the chaos, the Turpins turn for comfort to their friends and neighbors, an eccentric community of misfits who just manage to pull together and help each other through their hours of need, and finally, the funeral.
